ABOV Semiconductor Co., Ltd. is a new company which was established February 1, 2006 and is a spin-off from AP ( application processor ) business, one of Magnachip Semiconductor's businesses.

AP business covered 8bit MCU, 32bit MCU, Logic products, etc. and most of the employees of AP business who were in charge of design, FAE, sales, marketing, OA, and testing were transferred to ABOV, as well as most of its products, and also most of the development tools.
The average carrer of employees of ABOV is 10 years and over.
ABOV uses the process technology and manufacturing facilities of Magnachip to manufacture wafers based on our designs and wafer probe tests are being processed by testers which are transferred to ABOV.
The back-end process is being processed by qualified manufacturers and the quality of products that ABOV provides to customer is as high as it was before. The head office and Ochang R&D center are located at Chungbuk Technopark, and the branch office and Seoul R&D center are located in Seoul.
ABOV acuired a venture certificate in an area of high technology, and also acuired the Seoul/Ochang R&D center certificate respectively. We will make ABOV the world No.1 MCU supplier and meet the demands of our customers as well as create new markets, and be a leader of those markets.
