Unified Remote
Description
IR Remote MCUs are built on 800 Core and have a remote out port internally. IR Remote is widely used in verierty appliances like TV, DVD...etc.( Remote means remote controller )

ABOV's 8 bit Remote MCUs are normally used to Unified Remote. Unified Remote is a remote which can controlles more than two formats ( Many formats are unified at one unified remote. so we call it as unified remote). So it is more complecated and requires more perfomance than single remote.

So, 8 bit Reomcon MCUs are used to Unified Remote and 4 bit Remote MCUs are used to single remote normally.

ABOV's Remote MCUs have a exclusive port which is used to drive a IR-LED. It can drive high current for IR-LED and generate synced signals with specific frequency, 37.5KHz which called carrier frequency.

Becasue of that this product group is based on 800 Core, it inherited veriety merits like field proven reliability for several years and easy to use development tools. ( See more about 800 Core, Development tools )

Rom type description
COMBI FLASH OTP MASK

And it provides FALSH and OTP rom MCU and MASK version which has same functionality. MASK version means it has a mask rom whose contents are programmmed at manufacuraing time. It means you can not change the contents after manufactured. But it is more cheap for mass production. So normally FLASH version is used for development and MASK version is used to mass production after developing code becomes stable.
