MC96FD316(T) is an advanced CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 16 Kbytes of Flash. This is a powerful microcontroller which provides a highly flexible and cost effective solution to many embedded control applications. MC96FD316(T) has a 6-channel PWM generator to drive 3-phase BLDC motor, 3-channel comparator to get motor position for sensor-less control, 1-channel OP-Amp and comparator for emergency stop, and 16x16 multiplier and 32÷16 divider for efficient calculation of motor algorithm. MC96FD316(T) also provides 1-channel USI (UART + SPI + I2C) block to communicate with an external device and 10-bit ADC with 4.5us conversion time to get the sensor’s information.
